Meet the Team

Dr. Shamela Scott

As an Independent Educational Consultant, Dr. Scott provides support to families as they navigate the college admissions process by leaning on her years of experience and expertise in the field.

Dr. Scott started Impact Education Consulting after realizing helping students with post secondary planning is her heart job. Before becoming an educational consultant, Dr. Scott worked in public and private education with majority of those years serving as a School Counselor. During her years as a School Counselor, she served as a lead in her department and was a county expert on several topics in the field of school counseling. She has always sought to provide opportunities that would help prepare students and parents for the college admission process.

When Dr. Scott is not meeting with families, she is visiting campuses throughout the year, attending conferences, and participating in workshops and seminars to keep up to date with college admissions trends. In her free time, Dr. Scott loves spending time with her family, watching movies, and reading.

Dr. Scott is currently a member of the Southern Association of College Admission Counselors and the Independent Educational Consultant Association.
